Red Apple Lipstick Swatches and Review!

(From left to right) Berry Blast, Audrey, Red! 101, Ravishing

Let's start with the ingredients! Firstly, the ingredients are listed on their site; however, not next to the lipsticks themselves. The ingredients are on a seperate page which you can reach by clicking 'ingredients' at the top of the home page at redapplelipstick.com. The ingredients are also not listed on the packaging--but this doesn't really bother me. Some companies don't even list the ingredients on the box or their site. I believe Red Apple Lipstick does this because different collections and sets have different ingredients. I am perfectly fine with all of the ingredients listed for the lipsticks.

Pigmentation you ask? The pigmentation of these lipsticks is my favorite part about them. Being mineral based, they are extremely buildable! I can wear Red! Or Ravishing in one layer for a splash of fun color without looking bold. Add another layer or two and you have instantly bumped your lips up to first class! Unlike other mineral lipsticks I've tried, the color is very even, smooth, and luxurious. I've tried others that had a grainy feel and streaky coloring.

Lasting power? The shades last differently and also depend on whether I eat/drink. Without eating, Red! And Ravishing last about 3 hours before fading EVENLY into sort of a stain. Berry Blast and Audrey last maybe 2, but can easily be reapplied without a mirror.

The texture is buttery smooth and glides on my lips with ease. I feel 1940's glamourous when putting them on--this is a feeling sometimes hard to find in the toxin-free community.

These retail at $23.50 a piece, but I have not paid full price for any of mine and don't plan to.

Which brings me to my next point! Red Apple Lipstick's Valentine's Day Sale starts tomorrow! 5% off plus an additional 15% off if you register free on their site (I did!)

I'd like to pick up Barcelona, Coral Crush, and another I'm not sure of yet. With the buy 2, get one 1/2, plus 20% off, the lipsticks would be $16 each!

The All Natural Face Cream Lip and Cheek Swatches and Review!

(Top to bottom, left to right) Touch or Peach, Suntan, Rose Goddess, Peachy Rose, Really Red, Everyday is a Good Day, Terra Cotta.

I use Touch of Peach as a highlighter, Suntan as a contour, and the rest as lip/cheek colors.

Rose Goddess and Touch of Peach are shimmery, while the rest are satin. Peachy Rose is a bit dryer than the rest which eliminates it as a color on my healing lips. The rest are very butter, smooth, and moisturizing.

Let's start with the ingredients-- Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Argan Oil, Candelilia Wax, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Boron Nitride, Oxides.

I have no qualms with those ingredients, and frequently slather these on guilt-free!

Although the swatches came off with only a wet washcloth, these blushes are pretty long lasting. I get about 4 hours of wear before the color starts to fade.

These are $5.75 each and come in 27 shades at theallnaturalface.com. The only downside to these products is that the shipping is SLOW. I'm talking 3 weeks slow. The All Natural Face always ships very slow to me and I am not very far from them-- the products are really worth the wait, though!

Vegan, toxic-free, pigmented blushes--what's not to love?

Nellie~

Welcome!

Hi!
I'm Nellie!
I'm gluten-free, dairy-free, toxin-free.
I started a journey about a year ago to eliminate toxic junk from my life and start incorporating natural practices to improve my health.
One of my New Year's resolutions this year was to 'become accountable.'
Let me explain to you my reasoning for this resolution:
Occasionally, I fall off the bandwagon. There. I said it. I'm not perfect--in fact, I make TONS of mistakes. I used to use the excuse that I didn't know any better--but excuses our out this year(another New Year's resolution is to stop procrastinating.)
The fact is: I don't know everything--but that's not an excuse to stay ignorant.

I'm here to learn through anyone willing to teach me, and I plan on posting regularly about what I learn. Everything I know about natural practices, I have learnt through someone who was typing at a computer just as I am now. It's time to deepen my knowledge, and help other's begin.

I'm hoping this blog will help me be more accountable. Considering I don't have anyone else in my life who cares about this topic, I NEED you guys!

What my blog's main focus will be:
1. Natural Skin Care
2. Healing my acne
3. New Discoveries
4. DIYs
5. Household Cleaning
6. Makeup

What my blog will occasional include:
1. Food
2. Essential Oils
3. Spirituality/meditation/yoga
4. Giveaways related to above said things

What my blog is not:
1. A negative environment
2. A source for me to tell you what to do or how to think

I am not an expert. I am a loving wife who cares deeply for her 4 animal companions and the health of her family. I have decided this year that I am a beautiful being that needs mind, body, and soul cleansing. Who's with me?
